Writing Fellows Programm
TUM Writing Fellows sind muttersprachliche (oder beinahe muttersprachliche) englischsprachige Studierende, die als Lehrassistent/innen in Lehrveranstaltungen mit einem Schwerpunkt auf schriftlicher Arbeit und regelmäßig im English Writing Center tätig sind. Das Programm hat das langfristige Ziel, Fellows in jeder der 7 Schools der TUM zu gewinnen. So werden Studierende aller Studienprogramme der TUM zukünftig mit Fellows arbeiten können, die sowohl Expert/innen im Schreiben auf Englisch, als auch kompetent im Fachgebiet der Studierenden sind.
Schulung
Writing Fellows werden aufgrund ihrer nachweislich exzellenten schriftlichen Englischkenntnisse, sowie ihrer Begeisterung diese in ihren Rollen als Studierende und Tutoren weiterzuentwickeln eingestellt. Writing Fellows müssen ein straffes Trainingsprogramm absolvieren, das unter anderem Arbeit vor Ort, Selbststudium, gemeinsames Lernen und Üben mit anderen Fellows und das Betreuen eines fortgeschrittenen Englishkurses im Sprachenzentrum als Lehrassistent beinhaltet. Der erfolgreiche Abschluss des Trainings wird mit einem Zertifikat als Tutor für English belohnt, welches zusammen mit TUM ProLehre | Media and Didactic ausgestellt wird und an allen bayerischen Hochschulen anerkannt ist.

Harry L - Aerospace Engineering

Harry was born in New Zealand but moved to Australia at a young age, where he attended primary and high school. After graduating, he gathered a variety of work experience as a tutor, dental nurse and telephone interviewer, before moving to Germany. Currently, he is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering.
Amanda M. Rodrigues - Management and Technology

Amanda was born and raised in São Paulo, the largest city in South America, and has studied English and German since elementary school. She is currently pursuing her bachelor's degree in Management and Technology at TUM. In addition to German and English, Amanda speaks Portuguese and Spanish and is learning Italian. When she is not working, she can be found playing the NYT Games or spending time with her friends.
Dhakshain Balaji Venkatesh - Power Engineering

Born and raised in India, Balaji grew up speaking English at a very early age. He has a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology. His interests in sustainable future energies and power systems brought him to TUM, where he pursues a Master’s degree in Power Engineering. In his free time, he loves to read, hike with friends, and watch cooking shows.
Jinseo Yu - Environmental Engineering

Jinseo Yu was born in Seoul, Korea, and spent much of his childhood in the American Midwest, where he learned English. He returned to Korea, where he attended high school and earned a bachelor's degree in Environmental Science from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies. He is currently pursuing a master's degree in Environmental Engineering at TUM. In addition to English and his native Korean, he can speak German and some Turkish, and has previously worked as an intern in the Turkish city of Bursa. His hobbies include playing basketball at Heimeranplatz and practicing piano at the Münchner Stadtbibliothek. He loves watching football, and is an avid fan of Tottenham Hotspur and Paris Saint-Germain.
