Learn Spanish at the TUM Language Center
Spanish is not just spoken but also lived!
People speak Spanish in Valparaíso, Havana, Puebla and Cartagena de Indias, not to mention La Bombonera, Santiago Bernabeu and El Prado. We warmly invite you to plunge into this culturally rich and dynamic world.
¡El español se habla … y se siente!
We offer Spanish courses from level A1 to C1 following the CEFR.
There are also courses on special topics, for specific target groups or to improve certain skills, such as Spanish A1 for BWL- or Spanish A1.+A2.1 for Architecture-students.
Not every course may be offered every semester.
Please determine your course level by taking our placement test.
Intensive courses (course levels may vary) take place during the semester break in spring and fall.
The intensive courses take place over a shorter period of time, but have more training units per week than the courses during the semester. The number of ECTS and the workload is therefore the same as for the semester-long courses.
Current dates and registration deadlines can be found on our homepage.
You can find a complete overview of our course program in TUMonline.
Would you like to make contact with other TUM students or employees and at the same time improve your language skills in a flexible and practical way? At TUMtandem we will find a tandem partner for you within TUM and support your joint learning process. More information on TUMtandem

This collaboration enables students from both universities to participate in bilingual hybrid and/or online courses (Spanish-German).
Students with knowledge of Spanish can study for a semester at a university in Latin America via TUMexchange, or at a university in Spain via Erasmus. In addition, students can earn a dual degree from TUM and various Spanish universities.

After the basic courses, a longer period of study (1-2 years) follows at the other university. You can usually write your thesis there. With the acquisition of the double degree, the career opportunities multiply, since you have a degree that is 100% recognized in two countries.
