Get to know our Turkish teacher Aysegul! Her diversity is demonstrated by the fact that, in addition to teaching, she is also an E-scout at the TUM Language Center and a student at the Hochschule für Politik. This is how she describes herself and her relationship to teaching Turkish:
“Originally hailing from Istanbul, Türkiye, I have been calling Munich home for the past few years. My journey into teaching Turkish began with a deep-seated passion for sharing my culture and language with others. It is a language rich in history, culture, and diversity, and I believe that by teaching Turkish, I can bridge cultural gaps and foster understanding among diverse communities. My path led me to the Technical University of Munich, where I found a vibrant community of learners eager to explore Turkish language and culture. Being part of TUM's dynamic academic environment has been incredibly rewarding, and I am grateful for the opportunity to engage with students and create meaningful connections both inside and outside the classroom. I am committed to providing a hands-on, immersive learning experience that not only imparts language skills but also fosters a deeper appreciation for the beauty and complexity of Turkish culture."
