Intercultural competence is essential for fruitful communication among people from diverse cultures. The TUM Language Center offers numerous opportunities for global learning, with a special focus on building awareness of the distinct character of different cultures.
TUMtandem
You are interested in improving your speaking abilities in a tandem learning partnership?
With our TUMtandem program we can offer you various possibilities:
- We will find you a tandem partner within the TUM. More information about TUMtandem can be found here.
- Get in touch with students from a partner university. This type of tandem can be integrated into a language course and/or be tied to a specific level.

- Global Voices
Diversity Filmseries
The international films – also by graduates of the HFF – that are offered in the framework of the project "Diversity - Respect the Differences, Discover the Similarities" are usually shown in the original language with German or English subtitles and are specially selected by lecturers from the respective language areas of the TUM Language Center. Each film is followed by a lively discussion.
