The TUM Language Center at the TUM Global Week

Every year, the TUM Global Week offers a platform for the exchange of ideas on the topics of internationalization and international experience for the entire TUM family. In addition to numerous information and networking events for students, doctoral candidates, scientists, administrative staff, TUM alumni and TUM's international partners, the Global Week is the occasion for the annual meeting of the TUM liaison officers with the TUM community.

The TUM Global Week 2022 takes place from June 27 to July 1.

“Fit for studying in Germany”
Friday 01.07.2022, 10:00 - 11:30 am

Does studying at a German university in Munich differ from studying back home? How do some of the differences in communication styles between professors, students and advisors reflect general German cultural standards and values? In this taster workshop, you deepen your knowledge about Germany and the Germans and also do some self-reflection on how cultures have shaped and influenced your life so far. You learn strategies to master intercultural challenges competently and find out about tools to deal with culture shock or “culture blues”. This can help you make the most out of your time here at TUM.
