Offers at the Language Center

In our program you also find seminars on intercultural communication (IKK).

If you need a language certificate in order to apply for a scholarship or to present it to the authorities, please contact steidten@zv.tum.de.

Organized via the MDCO, newly appointed international professors receive a sound introduction to the German language and culture with German language coaching of the TUM Language Center.

Online-Courses at the vhb

The Virtual University of Bavaria (vhb) offers online language courses for German as a foreign language. The courses can be a useful supplement to the DaF courses at TUM. They are especially recommended if you do not need to earn ECTS. All courses at vhb are free of charge for TUM students and registration is done with the TUM ID.

Programs at TUM

The TUM Center for Study and Teaching supports international students in their start at TUM. It offers exciting workshops and events where you can get to know TUM and your fellow students.

For applicants

Applicants wanting to study in Germany need to provide a certification that their German skills meet the university’s language requirements. The TUM Language Center does not offer exams or preparation courses for TestDaF or DSH as a proof of sufficient German language skills.
