Russian is the most spoken Slavic language in the world and is the native language of approximately 170 million people. Over 280 million people around the world speak Russian. It is one of the six official languages of the United Nations and is the most widely used language in Europe.

We offer Russian courses from level A1.1 through B1.2 following the CEFR.

Use the lecture-free period before the Summer Semester 2019, to improve your language skills.

  • The program for the intensive courses can be found from 20.12.2018 in TUMonline.
  • The courses take place from the end of February until April.
  • The registration starts 3 weeks before each course starts.

Course Registration

Students can register via TUMonline. Staff interested in taking a course should come to the first lesson.

The TUM Language Center reserves the right, in case of low number of present participants to cancel the courses.

Cooperation with the Polytechnic University of St. Petersburg

The TUM Language Center keeps a strategic partnership with Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (SPbPU) (http://www.spbstu.ru/) and offers 2-week intensive course in summer for students to significantly improve their Russian language skills, to get to know a modern Russian university and to experience the rich culture and history of St. Petersburg.
