Intensive courses during the semester break in German as a foreign language

This program has been designed for TUM students, doctoral candidates, postdocs and staff who would like to take advantage of the semester break for learning German. The intensive courses take place in fall and spring and are free of charge.

Offer in fall 2019

The intensive courses and trainings in September 2019 belong to the summer semester 2019, those in October 2018 belong to the winter semester 2019/20. The following courses and trainings are planned (subject to alteration).

September 2019 (Summer semester 2019)

Language Courses

  • at the levels A2 and B1

  • 10 x in the mornings or afternoons

October 2019 (Winter semester 2019/20)

Offer in spring 2020

The intensive courses in spring 2020 belong to the winter semester 2019/20. They will start at the end of February/beginning of March and will last 2 to 5 weeks.

Course participation and registration

For all levels except A1.1, it is necessary to show the result of a current placement test in moodle. You are only entitled to a confirmed place in the course if you bring your placement test result to the first class.

Students of the TUM:

  • You can register two to three weeks prior to the start of the intensive course in TUMonline. Please find out about the exact time for your selected course in TUMonline. Please note: In TUMonline, the intensive courses in September belong to the summer semester, whereas the intensive courses in October and spring belong to the winter semester. You may have to switch the filter to another semester.
