We offer various English courses in Munich, Garching and Weihenstephan. To find out which courses are appropriate for your level of knowledge you can take the online placement test at www.moodle.tum.de and sign up for courses at www.campus.tum.de. Click here for the bulletin.

During the semester break we offer intensive courses in English for architectural and medical purposes. You can get more information about intensive courses at the Language Center here.

In order to obtain an English Certificate (Sprachzeugnis) for your applications to study or work abroad you will be asked to take a test. Please note that you can only take the test one time per semester. The test is offered for all TUM students and employees except for those applying for LAOTSE, TUMexchange and BWL. These applicants must sign up with the person in charge of the program you are applying for at the International Office. BWL students contact abroad@wi.tum.de. You may be tested ONLY on the date assigned to you. For details concerning the test please read here.

TUM is a certified iBT test center authorised to test registered TUM students. Please refer to TOEFL to sign up for the test and get further information.

The British Council (Berlin/Germany) works in collaboration with the TU München to offer TU students the opportunity to take the internationally accredited IELTS test at the TUM city-campus.
