Why

You want to improve your writing and need feedback in order to get a good grade.

How

If you need help with a writing task, make an appointment with the Writing Center, bring a copy of the assignment and your current draft and we will work on the text with you for 45 minutes. Normally, we can only go through a few paragraphs or pages, depending on the assignment and the level of your written English. However, we may be able to show you patterns of mistakes which you can then look for in other parts of your text. The assignment need not be completed, but there must be something for us to work with. You can come back another time.

To set up an appointment, just send an email to writinghotline@zv.tum.de with your request for a time slot during our opening hours. Please allow at least three days, so that we can notify you if the slot is already taken. You may also phone us at Tel. 089. 289. 25298. Walk-ins will be accepted if time is available.

WARNING

We do not provide a proof-reading/editing service; you cannot drop off your text and pick it up later. The Writing Center focuses on teaching and learning - that is our service.
