Why

You want to improve your written English to help you advance in your career; e.g. you have a draft of an article you want to publish in a journal or present at a conference.

How

If you need help with a text, make an appointment with the Writing Center, bring a copy of the text to the appointment, and we will work on the text with you for 45 minutes. Normally, we can only go through a few paragraphs or pages, depending on the type of task and the level of your written English. The text need not be completed, but there must be something for us to work with.

To set up an appointment, just send us an email to writinghotline@zv.tum.de with your request for a time slot during our opening hours. Please allow at least three days so we can notify you if the slot is already taken. You may also phone us at Tel. 089.289.25298. Walk-ins will be accepted if time is available.

If you need more time or are not able to meet during the opening hours, please make an appointment with one of the English coaches.

WARNING

We do not provide a proof-reading/editing service; you cannot drop off your text and pick it up later. The Writing Center focuses on teaching and learning, asking questions and making suggestions - that is our service.
