English Coaching
The Coaching Program offers support to professors, associate lecturers and visiting professors who hold their lectures and seminars in English at TUM. In addition, a new English Writing Center is open daily at the Munich campus to offer assistance with written texts. Furthermore, students can benefit from weekly Writing Clinics in Garching and WZW. This service is free of charge.

One-to-One Coaching
Professors receive individual coaching. We will also attend your lectures, video-taping them if desired, and offer feedback.
Please send a mail to coaching@zv.tum.de or phone the coach at your campus.
Small Group Courses
Small Group Courses are organized by your department and tailored to your requirements for academic staff and PhD candidates.
Please contact the coach (see contact details below) at your campus to get further details or to set up a course.
Online Assistance with English Texts (Writing Hotline)
Professors and teaching staff can submit teaching notes, scripts and slides for editing.
Specify your campus: MUC, GAR or WZW.

English Writing Center at MUC
At the MUC campus we offer a daily service for students and PhD candidates to get tips and advice on how to improve their academic / scientific writing while helping them to edit their texts. To set up an appointment, just send us an email to writinghotline@zv.tum.de with your request for a time slot during our opening hours. Please allow at least three days so we can notify you if the slot is already taken. You may also phone us at Tel. 089.289.25298. Walk-ins will be accepted if time is available.
Bring a sample text of no more than 5 pages with you such as a homework assignment, CV, motivation letter, presentation, or section of a thesis or dissertation.
The English Writing Center is located at Room 001, Arciss Strasse 19.

Students and PhD candidates at the Garching and WZW Campi get tips and advice on how to improve their academic / scientific writing. Just walk in or make an appointment in advance. Feel free to mail your text to writinghotline@zv.tum.de prior to your appointments.
