Course Program for Participants of the TUM Auditor Program for Refugees

Refugees who are registered as auditors at the TUM may attend Sprachlehrveranstaltungen (language courses) at the TUM Language Center alongside lectures at the departments, or apply to join a Compact Program for German as a Foreign Language.

The Compact Program is a specially designed language instruction program for auditors. with a total of more than 600 teaching hours, the courses lead to levels B2 or C1. Subsequently,  you are ready to take one of the required language tests certifying sufficient German knowledge to be admitted to a German university.

To be accepted to the TUM Auditor Program, you will need a valid Hochschulzugangsberechtigung (higher education entrance qualification) and a certification of German language competence at level B1.

Certification of Language Competence to Apply for Admission to the TUM Auditor Program (Level B1)

To be accepted as an auditor, you will need a certification of language competence at level B1 in German as a Foreign Language (DaF). If you have no such certification but are certain that your language competence is at the B1 level or higher, you can take a test during registration week at the TUM Student Service Center (SSZ) to receive certification of your level. If you achieve level B1 or higher, you can be admitted to the TUM Auditor Program for Refugees.
