Schreibberatung – Assistance with German Academic Writing
Link to Video Schreibberatung
As a TUM student or scholar, you can receive help with your academic writing projects.
We advise you during all phases of your writing process (planning, wording, editing).
You are welcome to bring in a section of a term paper, presentation, thesis, dissertation or your CV, as well as any other text related to your work or studies at TUM. We will assist you in improving your current writing projects and also in developing your academic writing skills in the long term.
The offer is open for international students, visiting scholars, postdocs and PhD students.
Please bring a maximum of five pages to your writing consultation (also structure if available). If you bring your text in hard copy, make sure to use double spacing. Additionally, it would be helpful for us to have precise information regarding regulations and requirements as well as writing guidelines you may have received from your department.
NOTE: We do not correct or edit texts for you; rather we work with you to help you improve your written communication skills.
Appointments can be made through our online booking calendar.

In addition to one-to-one writing consultations, we offer the following courses to help you improve your writing skills at a B1 level or higher:
