DAAD Certificate without Taking a Language Test

Students who have officially completed a language course at the TUM Language Center may receive a DAAD Certificate at the corresponding level. You must bring the relevant TUMonline print-out to our central office or send it to us by email ( with the request that a DAAD Certificate be issued. Please keep in mind that the module exam you have taken can be no older than one year. An exception is made for English courses; exam results that are older than one year can also be recognized.

You do not need a DAAD Certificate for all programs or activities abroad. Please find out in the International Center what form of proof you need for your plans abroad (List of language certificates recognized by the International Center).
